Our Statement of Faith
**We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. **We believe that both the Old Testament and the New Testament work together as a whole, revealing YHVH's divine plan for mankind. We believe that there is one God: YHVH who is the Father of an only begotten Son, Yeshua (a.k.a. Jesus), and has sent His Holy Spirit to empower, comfort and encourage us in our walk with Him. **We believe in the Deity of Yeshua, His virgin birth (Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 7:14; Matt 1: 18-25), His sinless life (Isaiah 53, 2 Corinthians 5:21), His miracles (Matthew 4: 23-25), and His atonement through His shed blood (Isaiah 53, Daniel 9: 24-27, Romans 3: 21-31, Hebrews 9 &10). We believe in His bodily resurrection (Zechariah 12:10, Zechariah 14, Matthew 28), and in His personal and physical return in power and glory (Daniel 7: 9-14, Matthew 26: 57-64, Revelation 1: 1-18). **We believe that the lost and sinful man must be saved, and that man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Yeshua (Jesus Christ), the Son of God. **We believe in and practice the holy ordinance of water baptism (post Salvation), which signifies the believer's death, burial, and resurrection into new life with Christ, and the regular (yearly) celebrations of "the Lord's Supper" (better understood as the Passover meal); as commanded by our Lord to be done in remembrance of Him and the Feasts of Israel. **We believe in the present ministry and baptism of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life and walk as Yeshua (Jesus) did. (Matthew 3:11, Luke 24:49, John 14: 16-17, Acts 2: 38-39) We believe and embrace the ministry, operation, and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in the Scriptures, with the gift of tongues being one of the manifestations of the Spirit. (Acts 19: 1-7, I Corinthians 12: 1-11) **We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; those that are saved into the resurrection of life and those that are unsaved into the resurrection of damnation. **We believe in the unity of believers in our Lord Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. |
Vision and Values
Basileia Assembly serves the Lord as an intercessory ministry whose mission is to lay His foundation for Kingdom Authority in the territory, preparing the way for the Lord as He rises up from within His people, who will go forth and possess their land, their city gates and impact its culture with the maximum benefit of the influence of the Kingdom of God on earth. We seek to pursue the Kingdom of God through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We have embarked on an adventure in which we cast aside religion in favor of authenticity, faith and the person of Jesus. We embrace men and women in all their giftings and encourage everyone to relentlessly pursue who they have been created to be, both in the physical realm, spiritually, and to go after the calling that God has placed in their hearts.
Values
GOD CENTERED
Jesus has never been in the fine print. We are open to the Holy Spirit, chase after well-informed Bible based teaching and uphold the importance of prayer. We believe it is important to be authentic and our hope is that our community members become adventurous followers of Jesus, who are culturally and contextually embedded in our city.
KINGDOM AND COMMUNITY DRIVEN
We come together because we can’t make it alone. At Basileia Assemblies our desire is to provide an inclusive atmosphere, where people can share stories, do life together and embrace ‘the journey’. We are utterly passionate about our relationship with the Lord Jesus and friendship, and prioritize our relationship "Up" and relationship "out" as a core part of who we are.
CREATIVITY
Creativity is embedded within our DNA. From those pursuing a creative craft in their workplace (or outside of it), we love walking alongside people as they work out their talents. This could be through business, arts, entertainment, music or justice initiatives. We encourage gatherings of friends and family to reflect this with a strong emphasis on the gifts and callings of God's people with openness to the Holy Spirit.
JUSTICE FOCUSED
Our aim is to equip our community members to be Kingdom of God--mercy and justice-minded people with a heart for seeing people walking out the Kingdom of God in their lives and by virtue of that walk, seeing the Kingdom of God in operation in society, we want to provide connection points for those in need.
GENEROUS WITH RESOURCES
Joyful generosity is at the heart of who we are. Whether that’s with time, friendship, prayer or financially. 30% of all the financial resources we receive is distributed to those in need. This may help someone pay their rent, sort medical bills or buy food. We love to be generous with our time and have various opportunities for volunteers to get involved.( Applications required)
